Sabrina Desmarteau

Montreal artist, graduate of the bachelor’s degree in visual and media arts from UQAM.

In her approach, her research focuses on Montreal’s architecture, which she describes as a component of urban heritage, with a current environmental concern. In order to express her sense of belonging to her city, she calls upon historical milestones or simply the buildings and infrastructures that people living in Montreal encounter on a daily basis. In his works, the accumulation of lines and geometric forms support the complexity of the environment that surrounds us, which is in constant metamorphosis. His art aims to preserve these constructions, which are transformed over time.
